I am back from vacation and the art fair calendar is in full swing. I decided to focus on The Armory Show first because I always find it impressive. This year was no different. I particularly liked Amina Rezki's painting with its figure's poignant expression and humorous placement of the apple. It's a great study of contrasts and the colours perform a harmonious balance. The last photograph by Baldwin Lee, Boyle, Mississippi, also displays a brilliance of contrast juxtaposed against the poverty of the South. Its characters come out strong however and what we see is more than just the realities in America; we see integrity in full force.
