What's new at Saatchi Art?

There is a great deal of art just waiting to be discovered at Saatchiart.com. And some of it I've included here. Take for example the following collection. In Isabella Tassone's photograph, A boat in the middle of the sea, there is mystery in the still waters that draws the viewer closer to the subject matter. Black and white photography is impactful and it's on full display here. Meanwhile Pia Stojkovic's abstract work rendered in yellow shows the vibrancy of her art. At the same time, it's scribbles bring to mind the work of Cy Twombly. Curiously, the collection of art below displays many Canadian artists.  Marina Egorova is one, and her landscape painting is reminiscent of the types of scenery you can expect in Canada. Moreover, Sergey Tolmachev's bold photography displays fluid materials juxtaposed against one another in a sea of red and yellow. We cannot tell what he's photographing exactly but we can appreciate the result

3. Harvest Time, Marina Egorova, Canada

4. White stripe, Sergey Tolmachev, Russia

Biljana Jones is another Canadian artist and her work, At the beach, captures the sprit of the summer beautifully. It's the opposite of chaos. In fact, it's time away from the 9 to 5 and time away from city life in general.

Aisha Khan's mixed-media work shows the multitude of abstract layering. Her technique is skillful and she captures her subject matter in an appealing way.
6. Home bound, Aisha Khan, Canada

Pia Loye's zig zag sculptural piece is an interesting portrayal of an ambiguous sign prominent in blue it steers us to ponder its meaning.
7. No Title, Pia Loye, Denmark

Glen Gauthier's work is puzzle-like and brings to mind the map of a city. With strong colours in the foreground it balances nicely against its black line work.

8. Labrynth Collage, Glen Gauthier, US

Valerie Le Meur's vivid portrayal of the inside of a dessert store relies on colour to change the mood in the consumer setting. The rendering is subdued and we're left to ponder all the delicacies on offer.

9. La confiserie d'Harrods, Valerie Le Meur, France

Phillip Jones's cloudy landscape is a dream-like rendering. The environment is a natural setting away from mankind and juxtaposes well with the sky line.
10. Vertical Cloudscape, Phillip Jones, Canada

Ann Schaffer's earthly and rocky surface is on display in her landscape work. The mixture of colours is sophisticated and elevates her subject matter to a higher plane.
