Intersect Aspen Art Fair 2023

Intersect Aspen had a great deal of art on display. I chose the following works to share here. The first is from the female duo who hail from Sweden, Cooper and Gorfer. Their majestic looking photograph of a young black woman's profile in a golden dress is marvellous to look at. It is warm and inviting and asks just enough from the viewer to glimpse at it for longer. The next work of art is from Hiejin Yoo, titled Blooming Days. It blends well with the first work in terms of colour and I like how well they work together. It is a bold work of art blending the real and the abstract. Ethan Murrow's painting of a man in a canoe is a charming work that deserves contemplation. Titled Third Charm it is a fantastic piece of work. While the man's head is covered with flowers he stands holding a flying object not knowing exactly where he is going. Meanwhile, Yigal Ozeri's photorealist paintings convey the sensual beauty of its subjects. The women are poised in front of a natural landscape and pierce the viewer with their gaze. Please enjoy my selections and feel free to comment.
