It was a smaller showing at Art Basel Hong Kong this year but there was still a lot to see.  The following are my select few. Fajdar Sidik's painting is the opposite of melancholy. Set in vibrant yellow it\s evocative of a joyful spirit. Its abstract elements spilling out like rocks from a canyon show an understanding of the playful balance on display in the work.
